Tour of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Miami Branch
Thursday, November 2, 2017
Free to 2017 registered Americas Cash Cycle Seminar (ICCOS) delegates
As the nation's central bank, the Federal Reserve issues and processes Federal Reserve notes and distributes coin through financial institutions. The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Miami Branch has graciously offered a tour of its Cash Operation. Delegates who participate in the tour will see the Fed prepare and release currency to armoured carrier companies on behalf of depository institutions, receive and verify each note on sophisticated processing equipment that counts, identifies suspect counterfeit notes, and destroys unfit notes. Over half of the Miami Branch’s volume are receipts or payments of US currency internationally.
The tour is conducted on Thursday, November 2, after the close of the Post-Seminar Symposium. There is no charge to participate, but space is limited so we recommend registering early.
